Hey there Dad, Happy Birthday fella. This year I thought rather than the conventional card etc. I would give you something that would be on hand (so long as you're near a computer) all the time. These are a fairly disjointed selection of photos that I have with me at uni. Could I have got home sometime (will I ever return to Yorkshire??????) I could have got together a better choice but the beauty of the web is that it can be updated as and when I can feel like it. So if you come back to this page again at any stage you may find that I've been adding various bits here and there. What I thought might be quite is if I include a kind of diary so you can keep tabs on what I'm up to. Also if I get more recent pictures etc. of stuff that I've been up to then I can include them too. Not as good as catching up in person but as you well know we are both busy guys nowadays. Anyway, I'll stop chuntering on now so you can can have a look at the pictures!
Who's this ugly bugger hey? Oh yeah, that's right... it'll be me. I tell you Dad, I can't believe I used to have ginger hair!
One of Con and Phil's birthdays here I think! Who's that dashing bloke in the background?
Now then... I seem to remember that a certain Captain Adi refused to take heed of certain warnings on this boat trip. Something to do with pink buoys and running aground? Needless to say I believe we had to be rescued!
And here's one of me and thee on one of our country cottage holidays... I can't remember which one though but if you can then let me know. I think it might have been Port Marion...(?)
Here's a rare sight for when we were younger... me Con and Phil all seemingly getting on!
I think I'm right in saying that you took this picture at Granny and Granpa's house in South Africa.
A bit of a time warp now as we move on to more recent pictures! I couldn't remember if I'd ever got chance to show you my Thailand pictures so this is where most of these are from. However, there is one that's slightly out of place. You can't really compare Scarborough to Thailand but definitely both places that I love.
You've never been to Thailand until you've been to the highest spot! I nearly got in quite a bit of trouble here for taking pictures as there was some kind of airbase about 20yrds away and they didn't take too kindly to having their picture taken!
Here I am mixing in with the locals.
Before you ask, the girl in the picture is not my Thai bride! This was a beautiful temple, right up in the mountains... I tell you I could have quite happily lived there for the rest of my days!
And here's the odd one out! Did you spot it? This is me in Scarborough about 18 months ago. I'll have to go back this summer at some stage I think. Let me know if you're going for the cricket festival!
Well Dad I hope you enjoyed that rather disjointed journey through the life of your youngest. I love you very much and I wish I could see you soon. I'll do my best to get back over and see you probably in early June. Hope you have a great birthday.
Love Oll
